Terror and Anti-Semitism

The Propaganda War: Empty Rooms of terror victims are more impressive than the ruins of After Jenin

The Denver International Film Festival held in Colorado on October 10-20 included in its program After Jenin, a film made by Jenny Morgan, a British filmmaker. It was a 52-minute documentary on the "atrocities committed by the Israeli Army" against the Palestinians.

The film would have enjoyed a great success had it not been countered by Empty Rooms, a documentary by famous Dutch filmmaker Willy Lindwer.

This film is based on Dolphinarium: Terror Targets the Young, a book published by the Michael Cherney Fund, who also financed the film. The bombing at the Dolphinarium Disco on June 1, 2001, took the lives of 21 people, including 19 teenagers.

The two films were shown in a double bill, and the audience’s sympathy was on the side of Empty Rooms. The film also became one of the few singled out and recommended by the local film critics (unlike After Jenin, which did not make the cut).
