Under this title, with the sponsorship of MCF and participation of delegates from the Russian embassy and Israeli Foreign Ministry, Cultural Center of Jerusalem held a memorial evening dedicated to victory over Nazism in WW2.
The organizer of the evening, Helen Birgauz stressed the importance of educating sabras (Israeli born citizens) what price Europe and former Soviet Union paid for that victory. Parts of the American-Russian collaboration movie “The Unknown War” with reading of the text by Burt Lancaster were screened during the evening. The celebration was held in commemoration of 60 years since the victory over Nazism.
