Begin's Life

The biography of the legendary
Israeli leader Menachem Begin
(1913 - 1992) by famous writer
and journalist Mark Zaichik
is being published for the first
time in Russia.

It is the second book in the NO TO EXTREMISM: ANTI-FASCIST LIBRARY published by The Michael Cherney Foundation.

Menachem Begin, the Peace Nobel Prize winner and Israel's Prime Minister in 1977-1983, took part in most important events of the last century and solved cardinal problems of his country and his people. He lived a unique life, and his personality deserves to be known by the future generations both in Israel and the world over. He was a man who knew victories and errors, wise decisions and disappointments, but he firmly believed in his objective and thus was able to assume responsibility for historical decisions. This is why Begin, one of the major politicians of the 20th century, will go down in history as a statesman on the world scale.
