Michael Cherney Foundation widely supports artistic endeavors among new immigrants. Recently we helped publish an anthology of Israeli poets who write in Russian. Some of them are world-known and have published their work in Hebrew as well. This anthology is radically different from previous works of this kind. It seeks to reflect fully and qualitatively the broad variety of trends and directions existing in Russian-language writing in Israel. Some of the selections are less well known than others – the editors’ main criterion was literary quality, rather than name recognition.
