Michael Cherney Foundation has allotted substantial
assistance to the families that had lost their providers in
the air catastrophe of October 2002, when the Ukrainian Air
force shot down a civilian aircraft en route from Tel Aviv
to Novosibirsk. 78 people died in this horrible accident.
The Cherney Fund has supported many families who lost their
fathers in this tragedy.
Furthermore, the Foundation has assisted
a group of relatives in erecting a memorial to the victims
of the catastrophe.
The Israeli Keren Kayemet Land Fund has expressed
its utmost appreciation to the Cherney Foundation for helping
establish the memorial.
