In November 2003, Mikhail Cherney Foundation sponsored ten Israeli children wounded in terrorist attacks to be treated in the United States.

Stateside, the children were hosted by American volunteer families. In California, they arranged that certain rehabilitation procedures, including plastic surgeries, would be done free of charge. Besides treatment, the children enjoyed an extensive entertainment program - an important step in psychological rehabilitation.
