This is a title of a new book from Nauka (Science) Moscow Publishing House. The publication is sponsored by Michael Cherney Foundation and supported by Russian Intelligentsia Congress.
The book brings home the spiritual meaning of the war on Islamic Fundamentalism. In this war, Israel took the brunt of the struggle against the new world evil, and it is standing side by side with Russia.
The historical missions of Russia and Israel are bound inextricably, and return of peace from Babylon to Jerusalem - from belief in profit to belief in the Good - lies through the unity of Russians and Israelis.
The book also raises the important issue of Russia retaking its key role in the Middle East, that of the protector of Arab Christians suffering from Islamic extremism, and the role of Russian Orthodox Church as the equal partner of Western Church in the cause of joining all Christians in Zion around the Jerusalem mother church.
The book's first section includes a selection of articles by Russian Orthodox hierarchs, from Feofan the Recluse to Patriarch Alexiy the Second, whose works prove that a true Christian cannot be an anti-Semite.
The second section is the book Babylon and Jerusalem proper, which shows why a true disciple of Christ cannot be an anti-Zionist, cannot help Israel's enemies, and cannot step aside from Israel's war. The book is written by Jan Willem van der Hoven, the founder of International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem. The prophetic book Babylon and Jerusalem has been translated into several languages, and now appears in Russian for the first time.
The third section describes the steps that can be taken by Russia and Russian Orthodox Church to help Israel and Christian Arabs in Palestine. It contains the Open Letter from Avigdor Liberman to Patriarch Alexiy, which outlines the plan to set up a Christian Bethlehem enclave with active support of Russia and Russian Orthodox Church.
