Universities of Haifa and Jerusalem thanked the Cherney Foundation for its generous sponsorship of the International Congress on Philo-Semitism and Anti-Semitism in Modern Russia and Eastern Europe.
The congress will take place in early December 2002 at the University of Haifa.
The congress is organized by University of Haifa's Hebrew and Modern Literature Departments, with help from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Department of Russian and Slovenian Studies.
Over fifty world renowned scholars from eleven countries are expected to attend.
University of Jerusalem has invited Michael Cherney to make a speech at the opening ceremony.
