The Michael Cherney Foundation allotted "Hanukkah gelt" to the three children of Larisa Grischenko - Yana, 11, Daniel, 4, and Dayana, 3. This year the children's mother will not be able to light up the Hanukkah candles - she lies unconscious in the Bait Levenshteyn rehab center, with her husband Boris at her side around the clock. Larisa was wounded in the suicide bombing in Hadera's market on October 26. Boris and Larisa came to Israel from Zaporozhye seven years ago, both pharmacists by training. They were able to have their degrees validated and embarked on their careers, each managing a pharmacy in Klalit hospital system.
We hope that Larisa will recover and make a complete recovery. The first part of the miracle has already taken place - she survived the bombing, contrary to the doctors' expectations. She was soon transferred to the Levenshteyn facility, which is world-famous as the last resort for such cases.
Along with everybody else, the Cherney Fund prays for Larisa's recovery.
